This policy explains what information Greater Pittsburgh Area MAD DADS collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to maddadspgh.org and to our MAD DADS Pittsburgh Alerts text messaging program.

1. Who we are

Greater Pittsburgh Area Men Against Destruction Defending Against Drugs and Social Disorder ("Greater Pittsburgh Area MAD DADS," "MAD DADS," "we," "us," or "our") is a community organization serving the Greater Pittsburgh area. Our mailing address is PO Box 971, Monroeville, PA 15146.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

We collect information you choose to share with us, such as your name, mobile phone number, and email address. You may provide this when you sign up at a MAD DADS event, join our text messaging program, contact us, or volunteer with us.

Ticket purchases and donations

Tickets and donations are processed by Zeffy, a third-party platform. When you buy a ticket or give through Zeffy, Zeffy collects your contact and payment information. We receive your name and contact details so we can manage your ticket and communicate with you about the event. We do not receive or store your full payment card information.

Website usage

Our website is hosted by Netlify. Netlify's analytics records basic, aggregated usage information such as pages visited, referring websites, and general traffic counts, based on standard server logs. We do not use advertising trackers or marketing pixels, and we do not set our own cookies on this website.

3. How we use your information

  • To tell you about MAD DADS events, including ticket sales for our 20th Anniversary Benefit Concert.
  • To send text messages you have agreed to receive.
  • To process and confirm ticket purchases and donations.
  • To respond to your questions and requests.
  • To understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
  • To meet legal obligations.

4. Text messages (SMS)

If you opt in to MAD DADS Pittsburgh Alerts, we use your mobile phone number to send you text messages about MAD DADS events and ticket sales. Message frequency varies, up to 2 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or reply HELP for help. Full program details are in our Terms and Conditions.

We send messages through CallHub, a messaging service provider that delivers texts on our behalf.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

All of the categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share contact lists with partner organizations, churches, sponsors, or any other group.

We share information only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us operate, such as CallHub (text message delivery), Zeffy (ticketing and donations), and Netlify (website hosting). They may use your information only to provide services to us. As stated above, this does not include sharing your mobile opt-in data or consent.
  • Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the safety of our members, supporters, or the public.

6. Zeffy and other websites

Our website links to Zeffy and may link to other websites. When you leave maddadspgh.org, the other site's privacy policy applies. We encourage you to review Zeffy's privacy policy before purchasing tickets or donating.

7. Children's privacy

Our website and text messaging program are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data retention and security

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. If you opt out of text messages, we keep a record of your opt-out so we do not text you again. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Your choices

  • Stop text messages: Reply STOP to any message from MAD DADS Pittsburgh Alerts.
  • Get help: Reply HELP, or contact us using the information below.
  • Access, update, or delete your information: Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
